Genuine Perspex® cell cast acrylic - the original crystal-clear sheet, made in the UK.

Perspex® Clear is the benchmark clear cast acrylic: over 92% light transmission, a flawless glass-like surface and the superior optical quality, thermal stability and craze resistance of cell cast production. The specifier's choice for glazing, displays, fabrication, laser cutting and engineering applications where the sheet has to be right. Supplied with Perspex®-logo protective masking on both faces.

  • Genuine branded Perspex® cell cast acrylic - Clear 000
  • Light transmission: over 92% - clearer than glass
  • Thickness: 3mm, 5mm, 6mm or 10mm (±0.1mm tolerance)
  • Full sheet 3050mm x 2030mm or half sheet 2030mm x 1520mm
  • Density 1.19 g/cm³ · max working temperature 80-85°C
  • Excellent for laser cutting, CNC machining, cementing and thermoforming
  • UV stable and weatherproof - won't yellow outdoors

Why choose genuine Perspex® over generic clear acrylic?

Perspex® is the original clear perspex sheet - made in Britain for over 90 years and the brand most specifications actually name. Cell cast production gives tighter optical control, better thermal stability during fabrication and consistent behaviour on the laser bed, and every genuine sheet arrives with the printed Perspex® masking so you (and your client) know it's the real thing. When a job specifies Perspex sheet by name, this is the material that satisfies the spec.

  • Specified work - architectural glazing, marine glazing, engineering components
  • Premium fabrication - display cases, furniture, thermoformed parts
  • Laser cutting & engraving - clean flame-polished edges, predictable results

Genuine Perspex® cell cast acrylic sheets are manufactured in the UK to premium standards and offer a versatile, high-performance solution for a wide range of applications including signage, fabrication, lighting, retail displays, and architectural features. Compared to extruded alternatives, cast acrylic provides superior optical clarity, thermal stability, and resistance to crazing during fabrication.

One of the key benefits of our product is its tight thickness tolerance of ±0.1 mm, a significant improvement over the standard ±0.2 mm. This ensures more consistent results during machining and assembly, especially for precision applications such as CNC routing and edge-lit signage. Our cast acrylic also offers high light transmission (93%), excellent surface hardness, and good weather resistance.

1. What sizes do you offer?

Genuine Perspex® sheets come in the manufacturer's standard sizes: full sheets of 3050mm x 2030mm and half sheets of 2030mm x 1520mm. Our unbranded acrylic range is also available in 2440mm x 1220mm (8ft x 4ft) and large format 3050mm x 2050mm. For smaller sizes, use our 'cut to size' tool.

2. What thicknesses are available?

Our cast acrylic sheets are available in a range of thicknesses, typically from 3mm up to 10mm, depending on the colour and finish. If you need a specific thickness not listed, feel free to contact us.

3. How accurate are the cuts?

We cut all acrylic sheets with a tolerance of ±1mm, using professional-grade equipment to ensure clean, accurate edges.

4. What is the tolerance on the thickness?

We are proud to say that our acrylic sheets have a tolerance on ±0.1mm. This is well above the international standard of ±0.2.

5. Is the acrylic cast or extruded?

This is genuine Perspex® cell cast acrylic, which has better optical clarity, is easier to machine or engrave, and is more resistant to cracking than extruded alternatives. Every sheet is supplied with the official Perspex®-logo protective masking as proof of authenticity.

6. Can I drill or machine this acrylic at home?

Yes, cast acrylic can be drilled or machined using standard woodworking tools. We recommend using sharp tools at slow speeds to avoid cracking or melting. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to provide guidance.

7. Can I use this acrylic outdoors?

Yes – cast acrylic is UV resistant and weatherproof, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. It won’t yellow or become brittle in sunlight.

8. Do you offer coloured or tinted acrylic sheets?

Yes - our genuine Perspex® range covers Clear, gloss Black 962, the full Opal white series (028, 030, 040, 050, 069) and Frost finishes, alongside our unbranded clear, black, opal and frosted sheets. Need another Perspex® colour code? Get in touch and we can usually source it.

9. How long will delivery take?

We typically dispatch orders within 1–3 working days, with delivery taking an additional 1–2 working days via tracked courier. Custom sizes and high volumes may take slightly longer.

10. How much does delivery cost?

Delivery is calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of your order.

11. Do you ship outside the UK?

At this time, we only ship within the UK. If you're looking for delivery to another country, please get in touch and we may be able to help.

12. Can I return a custom cut acrylic sheet?

Because all sheets are cut to your exact size, they are considered custom products and are non-refundable unless faulty or damaged. Please double-check your measurements before ordering.

13. What happens if my sheet arrives damaged?

If your sheet arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damage and the packaging. We’ll arrange a replacement or refund as quickly as possible.

14. Do the sheets come with a protective film?

Yes — all our acrylic sheets are supplied with protective film on both sides to prevent scratches during handling and delivery.

15. Do you offer trade pricing or bulk discounts?

Yes! If you're ordering multiple sheets or are a trade customer, please contact us for a custom quote or trade account.
